IRT Distance Learning Option
In August 2007, the Higher
Learning Commission extended Stark State College of Technologys
accreditation to include the offering of online degrees. In their approval
of the online degree program, the Accreditation Panel of the Higher Learning
Commission stated:
The College has provided evidence of a well-structured and
supported robust system to develop, deliver, assess and support
quality distance education offerings. The College has pioneered
a number of best practices components while continuing to set
new goals for systemic improvement.
Stark State now offers the
Information Reporting Technology program entirely through distance
learning. It affords students the opportunity to complete a college
education via distance education from home and at their convenience and it
affords students the opportunity to learn with flexibility of time and place
while maintaining access to faculty and other College services. E-Learning
is a unique alternative to traditional on-campus courses. Stark State
