Here’s a chance to learn about and sample some of the wines of the “New World,” excluding California. We’ll start ‘down under’ and discover some of the special wines of Australia and New Zealand. Then it’s off to South America where we will become acquainted with some of the offerings of Chile and Argentina. Finally, it’s back home to the great Northwest as we investigate wines produced in Washington and Oregon. This is sure to be a quick and fun ‘round the world tour!

Experience an in-depth study of the important wine producing regions in France. You will be taken on a virtual tour of the areas of this country where, arguably, some of the finest wine in the world is made:
- regions of Bordeaux, Rhone, Burgundy and some of the “satellite domains” where good value and quality are synonymous
- discuss the aspects of “terroir” and it’s implications on the various flavors of the wine
- form your own “wine library” in your mind to help in selecting food with different styles of wine
- learn what type of grapes produce certain styled wines
- includes sampling of French wines

Have you ever wondered whose voice you are listening to on TV and radio commercials? How about documentaries or audiobooks? You too can become a Professional Voiceover Artist! This fun, informative, and empowering class will teach you the basics of entering a successful career as a voiceover artist. We will discuss some of the many details of the voiceover industry, our philosophy of marketing, the importance of your voiceover demo, and much more. Your instructor will coach and produce you reading scripts, and even record you in the classroom to later evaluate. Each student will get a personal evaluation from the instructor. In this two-hour introduction workshop you will learn many of the ins and outs of this huge and lucrative industry. Be warned, many who have taken this class have gone on to become real, bona-fide, professional voice actors. Come ready to laugh, learn, and be inspired.

Whether you teach in schools or churches, give talks in nursing homes or libraries, or just enjoy telling stories, you can learn how easy it can be to tell fun and interesting stories. This class will cover the source – stories are everywhere; preparation – make the story your own; delivery – tempo, voice, gesture, and movement; rules – dos and don’ts; personalize – develop your own style. And, of course, stories will be told.
