Clearing the Confusion of GD&T
This training will examine the many confusing aspects of Geometric
Dimensioning and Tolerancing. For example, if a designer wanted to
hold two round features concentric which GD&T symbol should be
employed? Concentricity? Not usually. A much cheaper and more
effective callout would be tolerance of location at RFS. Can you
define a ‘Feature of Size’? Without understanding this term most
experts would agree that GD&T will most likely be used incorrectly.
And what exactly is the difference between ‘circular runout’ and
‘total runout?’ These and many other fundamental points of confusion
are examined through practical design and production applications of
GD&T.

Maintenance to Stay Competitive
With competition increasing globally, and the increase in knowledge
and skill of employees in other countries, to remain competitive a
company cannot afford any mistakes and must continuously reduce cost
while increasing value to their customers. Two problems that
maintenance must prevent from occurring are unscheduled operations
stoppage and problem-free introduction of upgrades into operations.
This workshop will examine both preventive and predictive
maintenance options that will help create reliability and reduce
costs of the total operation.

Communicating with Corporate Leaders
Do you occasionally encounter a look of confusion or
misunderstanding as you are making a presentation or proposal to
those who approve and authorize projects? Do you sometimes feel
resistance in the language of high-level managers. This workshop
will present methods, vocabulary and style you can use to
effectively communicate with upper management. You will learn how to
overcome the barriers of resistance by being able to speak their
language. You will learn how to communicate in tune with the various
phases of a project, from feasibility to startup, and how to address
the issues of greatest interest (capacity, quality, cost and
schedule) in ways that promote a favorable response to your
suggestions and requests.
