INSTRUCTOR of ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE TECHNOLOGY

JOB CATEGORY Instruction

Description: Full-time, 180-day contract position beginning fall of 2010. Prepare and deliver high quality day, evening and/or weekend course instruction at main and/or satellite campuses or on the web in Administrative Office Technology. Responsibilities include traditional and online course development and facilitation; academic advising; and research and development of potential certificate and program offerings. Participation on division and college committees; professional development opportunities; marketing of programs, articulation with other colleges; and other duties as assigned by the department. Support quality improvement in the department and the College.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Education or MBA required. Minimum of five years of practical experience in the field required. Commitment to excellence in teaching with demonstrated teaching experience. Knowledge and experience in delivery of online education or other instructional modalities preferred. A learner-focused instructional philosophy is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2007 required. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and in a team-focused environment.
