Description: Full-time, 180-day plus supplemental contract position. Serves as a team member to coordinate and drive a corporate/college degree program. Prepare and deliver high-quality day, evening, weekend, satellite, and or online courses. Traditional and online course development and facilitation; academic advising; research and development of potential certificate and program offerings; participation on division and college committees and events and community involvement; professional development opportunities; marketing of programs; articulation with other colleges and other duties as assigned by the department. This position focuses on instruction of CNC and precision machining and related classes, including teaching the principles of modern precision manual machining and computer numeric control up to advanced machining and computer numeric control. Responsibilities also include project management, scheduling, assisting with registration of students, and extensive travel between multiple satellite locations.
Requirements: A minimum of five years experience in industry with detailed experience in machine tools, advanced machine tools, CNC, advanced CNC, CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, dimensional metrology & inspection, etc. A Bachelor’s degree and journeyman machinist/die maker is a requirement. Effective communication, presentation, interpersonal and Microsoft Office skills are essential. Requires demonstrated leadership experience combined with creative problem solving skills that focus on driving and achieving results. Project management experience preferred. The successful candidate must be willing to work day, evening and/or weekends. Satellite campus location coursework is required. CAD/CAM software skills are necessary. Mazak programming experience is a plus.
