Distance learning provides the opportunity for students who may not have the proper means of education available to them. Via the Internet and developed course curriculum, students can access their own education at any time of the day or night. However, distance learning is not for everyone. The distance learning student must take responsibility for his/her own learning. Self-discipline, self-motivation, and self-direction are crucial for distance learning.
