Stark State College’s information reporting technology program has offered distance learning opportunities through Web-based education in partnership with Stenograph University Online since Spring 2003. The court reporting courses held on campus are offered in conjunction with the
Web-based courses, reaching those students interested in learning the skill but unable to attend the campus because of family commitments, and/or time and travel constraints. Virtually anyone who has access to a computer with Windows 2000 software and hardware requirements will be able to take the program online, but the student will be required to have a computerized steno machine and court reporting student software before taking any online courses.
