Recently, the
widespread adoption of intranets, extranets, and the acceptance of the
Internet as a business platform have created a foundation for electronic
commerce that offers the potential for organizations to streamline complex
processes, lower costs, and improve productivity. Business to business
e-commerce is poised for rapid growth in the future.
The goal is
that graduates of this option will be able to develop a Web site; understand
the role of the Internet/intranet; and use the Internet for obtaining
research information. These skills are in addition to the previously
mentioned outcomes for students in the marketing management technology
program.
