It is important that a student match their degree with the area in the
field that interests them. In general, there are:
• Technician jobs (field work, emergency response, site
remediation, consulting, laboratory work,
compliance
assistance)
• Engineering jobs (consulting, manufacturer compliance,
site response, project management, system design,
etc.) |
|
• Research (alternative energy, materials, treatment methods – often required M.S. or Ph.D.).
• Enforcement and planning jobs (government jobs that include permitting, long-term planning,
regulation
writing, and enforcement)
• Related (soil conservation, agricultural, wildlife conservation, wetland preservation, etc.) |

Bachelor of Science Completion Programs
(Articulation Agreements with 4-year colleges):
Stark State College has articulation agreements with two 4-year
colleges. That means that students with an A.A.S degree in environmental
technology can pursue their bachelor of science (B.S.) at those schools with
minimal, if any, bridge work.
