This lab provides 51
computers and 5 TVs with VCRs for students to use. A schedule for this
lab is usually available on the front desk. Hours may vary during the
summer and spring break. Students should be made aware that they cannot
bring children to the lab.
Limited lab orientations
for classes are available during the first two weeks of each new
semester. Orientations last approximately 10 minutes and provide an
overview to students on how to sign-in when entering the Tutoring and
Learning Center and
what is available in the lab. Instructors wanting to provide their

orientation should call the lab and
speak to staff or should come down and talk directly with a staff
member. Lab staff may be reached at Ext. 4397 for any questions you may
have or to set up an orientation. |
Instructors wanting specific
software, associated with their courses, installed in this lab, must speak to
technical services in advance of the start of a semester. In addition, manuals,
study guides, and videos (legal copies) may be placed in the lab for use by
students. Lab staff, though, cannot be responsible for their whereabouts or
security.

Tutoring services are
still provided through the Tutoring and Learning Center. Students
go to C106 and sign-in at the computer. Each tutor has a nameplate
indicating what they tutor. Tutoring schedules are available in C105 on
the front desk.
Faculty interested in
tutoring or with recommendations for student tutors should speak to John
Herring at Ext. 4265. |
