Compass Entrance Assessment

The College's assessment program assists students in the registration process and helps assure the best placement for academic success. All students must complete the assessment process for advising purposes. Assessment may include transcript evaluation and/or completion of the computerized COMPASS Placement Assessment in English, reading and math.

COMPASS ASSESSMENT
Please call the Office of Admissions at 330-966-5450 or 1-800-797-8275 to make an appointment to complete this step in the admissions process as soon as possible.

  • There is no fee for the COMPASS Assessment
  • An SSCT Application must be completed prior to or at the time the COMPASS Assessment is taken
  • Testing must be completed before registering for classes.
  • All testing should be completed before Open Registration.
  • Please allow approximately two hours for testing
  • NOTE: If you have already completed the COMPASS Assessment, you are not required to take it again

Students that have transfer credit for math and English may not be required to complete the COMPASS Assessment. Contact the Office of Admissions if you have any questions.
