RALPH REGULA WELLNESS AND THERAPY CENTER
•
Completed: Spring 2004
Construction of a $1 million
Wellness and Therapy Center, which is adjacent to the "H" Building, was completed in
Spring 2004. This Center:
- Provides instructional laboratory
facilities for associate degree programs in physical therapist assistant
technology and occupational therapy assistant technology
- Provides integrated learning experiences
for health technology students through a variety of programs and projects,
including delivery of services to the community, in partnership with other
institutions and health care organizations.
The community-based Wellness and Therapy
Advisory Committee assists Stark State in determining what types of programs
and services are needed by the community and appropriate to offer in the new
Center. The advisory committee will also help establish partnerships with
hospitals, clinics and other health-care facilities and providers to deliver
the needed services. At the same time, the focus is on providing Stark
State health technology students with meaningful patient-care experiences.
