Stark State College awards Sloane Memorial Scholarship
to Louisville resident

Louisville resident Mary E. Shockling, a sophomore accounting technology student at Stark State College, has been named the 2007-08 recipient of the Edgar H. Sloane Memorial Scholarship.

The $350 scholarship is restricted to students who have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours toward their degree and have at least a 3.0 grade point average. Students are asked to complete three essay questions and provide a letter of recommendation from a full-time management and marketing technology instructor.

The Sloane Memorial Scholarship is awarded in memory of Edgar H. Sloane, a former management and marketing technology department chair at Stark State.
