This scholarship is sponsored by the Choose Ohio First Grant. The mission of the scholarship is to encourage students to complete associate degrees and bachelor degrees in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) at Stark State College of Technology and partnering four year Universities/Colleges.

Scholarship awards shall be provided to the student by crediting the student’s account for tuition. The annual per student scholarship award is restricted to $1,000 per semester ($2,000 per year) with a maximum of $4,000 over a two year period. To be considered for a second year of the $2,000 distribution (totaling $4,000), recipients must reapply by submitting a new application in accordance with the COF scholarship guidelines and deadlines. The scholarship money will be applied to student accounts at the beginning of each term.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDING CRITERIA
To be eligible, a student must:

• Have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better from high school and/or from completed course work at the college level.
• Complete the COF Scholarship Application no later than the following deadlines:
  • Application deadline: August 1 for Fall Semester and November 1 for Spring Semester
