Outlook 2007 Basics |

This document will outline the
basics of using Outlook 2007 to send, receive, and compose new email messages.
Sending and
Receiving email:
• To check for new email messages on the mail server and
send any messages that may be in your
‘outbox’, click the “Send/Receive” button. (Figure
1).

Reading
received emails:
• To read email messages that you have received click one of
the links titled “Inbox”. (Figure 2) |

• Once the “inbox” has been displayed, click on the message
that you would like to preview.
(Figure 3) Note: Double-clicking on an email
will display the entire email message in a new
window.

Composing a new email message:
• To compose a new email message, click the button labeled
“New”. (Figure 4) |

• After
clicking “New” an untitled message will appear in a new window. (Figure 5

• Type the
recipients email address, subject of the email, and then the email message
in the
appropriate fields. Click “Send”. (Figure 6)
