To insert Clip Art(the Clip Art task pane will appear on the right side of the Word screen):
Type in the Search for:
box the description of what your looking for
Click Go button or
press the Enter key
Position mouse pointer over
picture, a side arrow will appear on thumbnail, double-click image to insert
- OR -
Click on side arrow(Figure 1)
Click on Insert in
the drop down menu
Close Clip Art task pane by
clicking the X in the upper right corner of the task pane

To insert a Picture
(using the Insert Picture dialog
box):
Using the Look in:
box, locate your picture (.gif or .jpg or .jpeg or .png)
Once you locate and click on
the picture; the Insert button is activated
Click the Insert
button, this automatically takes you back to the document you were working
on

To insert an Internet Picture
(or
image you found is on the Internet and you want to add it to your document):
Locate the photo/image to
use
With the mouse, right-click on the photo/image
Select Save Picture As...(Figure 3)
The Save Picture dialog box
appears with the default file My Pictures displayed (at this point you can
select another destination using the Save in: box’s drop down arrow
to locate the appropriate folder) – (Figure 4)
You can change the name of
the file using the File name: box
Click the Save button
Return to your document and
follow steps 1 - 3 in the above Insert Picture section
