There are multiple ways to insert a
text box in Word 2003:
FIRST WAY:
On the menu bar click
Insert, Text Box
A box will automatically
display; you can create your Text Box within the box that automatically
displays or press the delete key to eliminate the box that automatically
displays
Position mouse pointer,
which appears as cross hairs (+) where you want to place your text box
Click the left mouse button
and drag diagonally to create the text box
The cursor automatically
appears in the text box
Type the desired text
SECOND WAY:
Click View, Toolbars on the
menu bar
Click Drawing (if a
box with checkmark is not displayed), this toolbar will automatically
dock at the bottom of your screen
Click the Text Box icon
on the drawing toolbar
