Student Drive Mappings on the Academic Domain

Students have specific drive mappings to network resources when they logon in the classroom using their academic account.
  1. To view the drives available, double-click on My Computer (figure 1)

  1. The two drives that are mapped for all students show up as drives M, and U
    (figure 2)

The table below summarizes these drives:

Student Academic Accounts – Drive Mappings
Letter Network Location Information
M: \\medusa\shared
On the server Medusa		 Shared files location. Students may only read and copy folders and files created by faculty.
U: \\medusa\stu-home\Your_User_Name
On the server Medusa		 Your student home folder. Faculty may access student home folders.

Please note that specific software loaded in some rooms will add additional drive mappings in order to run the network software.
