How to Submit a
Help Desk Request Online |

Logon to any of the school computers
(online Help Desk requests can only be entered from campus) and open Internet
Explorer. From the
favorites menu select the ‘Stark State College Online Help Desk’ folder, and
select the link labeled ‘Online Help Desk’. Refer to figure 1 |

Enter your ‘User Name’ into the
field labeled User Name (figure 2)
Note: This text box
only allows the input of 15 characters. If your User Name is longer than this,
your username will simply be the first 15 characters of your User Name.
Click ‘Sign In’

| Once you are logged into the
system, you will see the screen shown below in figure 3 |

Click ‘Add Work Order’; this will
take you to the ‘Work Order Request’ screen
(figure 4)Fill in the form with details of
the problem that you are experiencing.
Note: Be as detailed and specific
as you can about the problem. Include information such as: what you were doing
when the problem occurred, how long the problem has been occurring, and what
program were you using when the problem occurred.
Click ‘Submit’

Once the work order has been
submitted you receive a Request Confirmation (figure 5) Click ‘OK’ |

A screen will appear showing all
your current work orders (see figure 6 below), as well as, the work order number, the
summary of the problem, status, and the technician assigned to your work order.

Log-off of the Track-IT online
Help Desk system by clicking the ‘Sign Out’ icon located at the top right of the
Online Help Desk screen (figure 7) |

Click ‘OK’ to complete log-off
