Stark State Inducts 33 Students into Education Honor Society

(North Canton, OH – Dec. 8, 2009)The Stark State College Alpha Delta Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education, recently inducted 33 new members.  Kappa Delta Pi recognizes academic excellence and dedication to the teaching profession.  Students who are eligible to join must have sophomore status, have completed 12 credit hours or more of education classes and maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average.

Newly inducted members include:  Mary C. Allen, Melanie J. Baker, Brittany N. Brown, Reka Bryk, Tria E. Byard, Tina J. Cooper, Heather N. Fields, Valerie D. Fields, Briana L. Glasgow, Courtney L. Harding, Monica L. Henderson, Kristie S. Hole, Elizabeth F. Jesty, Dana M. Jordan, Phyllis M. Kinlow, Kristina M. Marchion, Megan E. Miller, Melissa S. Miller, Emily M. Nagel, Ashley R. Rogers, Amanda N. Ross, Amanda N. Smith, Diane L. Smith, Michelle A. Stokes, Jill R. Sutton, Takeemah K. Terrell, Brianna K. Thornberry, Laken M. Underwood, Erin M. Ward, Elaine C. Wolak, Alisha M. Woolbert, Stephenie E. Yoder, and Natalie D. Zellers.  Faculty counselors are Libby Roll, department chair/associate professor of education, and Karen Young, instructor, early childhood education.
