Dual Enrollment Online Program

  • Qualified students from our Dual Enrollment partner high schools will now have the opportunity to take online college level courses to earn college credit prior to high school graduation
  • Online courses are taught by Stark State college faculty 
  • Classes can be accessed at the high school within normal school hours
  • Students will also need to access the online course outside of school hours
  • The high school will provide student support
  • Students will use the college textbook, syllabus, and course materials
  • Students should contact their guidance counselor to see what courses are offered through their high school

Eligibility Requirements for taking online classes

  • The student must take the “Succeeding Online Orientation” prior to the start of the semester
  • The student must have basic computer skills
  • There must be access to the Internet apart from attending class - at home or at school
  • If accessing the course from home, the student’s computer must meet these specifications
  • The student must pass Stark State’s college placement exams (COMPASS)
  • The student fulfills the course pre-requisites
