The
admissions/prospective students Web site describes the admissions process
including an application, contact information, and virtual orientation.

Already a
student – Ready to register?
You can register for classes online using
Student Web Access. The
registration Web site lists the academic calendar including registration
deadlines, the schedule of classes (including a search option for Web-based
classes), and links to any forms which may be needed by the registration office.
PLEASE NOTE: Web-only students are not required to complete a
face-to-face registration and should contact the
Registrar at 330-966-6594, Ext.
4211 for assistance.

Looking for
classes?
The Web-based courses at Stark State College are not self-paced. Our Web-based
courses follow the same course calendar as our traditional courses. Prospective
students in Web courses will be subject to the same deadlines for registration,
enrollment, and withdrawal which apply to any course at the College. Please
refer to the
current class schedule to determine which courses are currently available.

Need an
advisor?
An
online advising form is available. Students will receive a response via
phone call or email within 48 hours. Established students can use this form to
contact your academic advisor, or you can contact your advisor directly via
email or phone.

Need
financial aid?
The
financial aid Web site provides step-by-step instructions for applying for
financial aid. This includes links to the FAFSA Web site, the Department of
education PIN Web site, and electronic access to our Institutional Form which is
required of every student. Once the College receives the FAFSA results, you can
login to
Student Web Access for a listing of missing documents. These documents can
be downloaded from the Stark State Web site as well. Your financial aid award
can been viewed via
Student Web Access.
The financial aid Web site also
includes FAQ’s, priority dates for the financial aid process, and contact
options for the financial aid office. In addition, you can send questions
via email. You will receive a
response within 48 hours.

Ready to pay
tuition?
The
Business Office Web site lists payment options and deadlines. You may pay
fees online or by mail with Check, Money Order, Debit Card, Visa, MasterCard, or
Discover Card. You can make payments on the installment plan (SIPP).
Instructions for installment payments and installment due dates are listed on
the
tuition payment Web site.

Need a
textbook?
Most E-Learning classes do require a textbook. You can purchase books online at
the
bookstore.

Need to do
research?
Stark State College shares a
Learning Resource Center (LRC) with Kent State University – Stark Campus to
serve the needs of students at both campuses. The LRC offers students online
access to Kent State University’s main campus library and all branch libraries,
as well as access to many university libraries through OhioLink. Through this
partnership, E-Learning students have access to library services via on-line
document delivery, courier delivery, interlibrary loan, online books, and mail.
The “chat with a librarian” service also enables users to have a live chat
session with a librarian from any OhioLINK institution to assist with short,
factual questions and with database searches.

disability support?
The
disability services Web site includes a Student Application for Disability
Support Services which can be printed and mailed as well as contact information
for the Disability Support Services coordinator.

Looking for a
job?
The Career Services office at Stark State College maintains an online job board
with the
College Central Network. Students and graduates are able to post resumes,
search jobs, and email resumes to prospective employers. Employers are able to
post jobs, search resumes, and contact candidates directly for job
opportunities. This Web site is available 24/7, and is free of charge to all
students, alumni, and employers. The
Career Services
Web site includes links to employment, career planning, and wage survey
sites. Resumes may be emailed to Career Services staff for review and
suggestions.

Course
Withdrawal
E-Learning students who need to withdraw from a course can contact the
registration office via phone (330-494-6170, Ext. 4211) or by sending email to
lkasuinc@starkstate.edu from their
Stark State College email account. Students cannot send an email from an outside
email account. Students are encouraged to talk to their instructor and to check
