Are you a new student?
There are five steps to complete in order to apply for admission to the college.

  1. Complete the Stark State College online application by creating your personal account which will allow you to track your application process.
  2. Submit a copy of your high school transcript or GED certificate along with official transcripts from any college attended.
  3. Complete your FAFSA.  All the information you need to get started can be found on our financial aid site.
  4. Take the COMPASS placement assessment.  The COMPASS test is used to obtain a baseline measurement of Writing, Reading and Math skills.  If you have prior college experience, you may not need to take this assessment.  Students not testing into college-level classes will need to complete the required classes either at Stark State College or a college near them.
  5. Contact the Admissions Office to talk to an online advisor 330-494-6170 or 800-797-8275.
