Stark State Offers Online Degrees!
Founded in 1960, Stark State College is an accredited member of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools. In August 2007, the Higher Learning Commission extended Stark State College’s accreditation to include the offering of online degrees. In their approval of the online degree program, the Accreditation Panel of the Higher Learning Commission stated:
“The College has provided evidence of a well-structured and supported robust system to develop, deliver, assess and support quality distance education offerings. The College has pioneered a number of best practices components while continuing to set new goals for systemic improvement.”
Stark State College began offering online courses to its students in 2001. What began as an additional way to offer courses to students has evolved into the offering of online degrees.

Comments from our students:
“I took a Web 3 class mostly because it's convenient. I work full time so it's a lot easier to just go home after work and get on the computer to take my class than what it would be to drive there and sit in class for a couple of hours.”
