Apply for Admission at Stark
State
The
admission process must be complete in order to be considered for
financial aid. the process includes the submissions of an official
copy of your final high school transcript or a copy of your GED
scores to the Registrar's Office.
NOTE:
Financial aid cannot be disbursed to a student until the final high
school transcript or GED has been received.

3. Apply for Personal Identification
Number (PIN)
Students and parents of dependent students need a PIN. Once
received (usually between 24 and 48 hours if emailed), the PIN allows
you to electronically sign the FAFSA and to e-sign the Master
Promissory Note for student loans. Access the United States
Department of Education Pin Web site at
http://www.pin.ed.gov to apply.
4. Complete the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the Web
The Stark State federal school code is 011141. Access
the FAFSA at
www.fafsa.ed.gov.
We recommend that you complete the
FAFSA on the Web Worksheet
before beginning the Web application.
Once your FAFSA has
been processed, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the
United States Department of Education as well as a notice from the
Ohio Board of regents advising you of your eligibility for the Ohio
Institutional Grant (OIG) or the Ohio College Opportunity grant (OCOG).
NOTE: Deadline filing date for the OIG and OCOG is October 1.
If it is determined
that additional information is required before your aid eligibility
can be established, the Financial Aid Office will notify you by
mail of the needed items. Please respond promptly to the requests.
A financial award
notification advising you of your eligibility will be issued once
your file is complete. Please follow
all instructions included in your award notification carefully.
Summer applicants
should visit or call the Financial Aid Office, 330-494-6170, Ext.
4301 as soon as the have registered for summer classes.
Summer
Financial Aid Application is required.
Late Applicants
The financial aid office will process late applications as quickly
as possible; however, late applicants should seek other means to
meet payment deadlines and purchase books until financial aid funds
can be released. |
