Third Frontier Network
Improves
Ohio Fuel Cell Research Through Remote Shared Instruments
 |
Third Frontier Network
lights the way for... |
|
|
|
EDUCATION |
RESEARCH |
|
With TFN,
K-12 schools and higher education will be connected to bring the
academic research experience into the classroom through distance
learning and virtual field trips. Also, educators and students
across Ohio will be able to collaborate in new and exciting ways. |
TFN will
provide secure channels for real-time research collaboration and
shared instrumentation that will enable researchers to share
expensive equipment over the network. This will save time and
money for researchers and propel innovation throughout Ohio. |
|
MEDICINE |
COMMUNITY |
|
TFN will
enable university medical schools to work with children's and
community hospitals on research, education, and remote consulting
programs. The end result: better treatments for disease and new
discoveries in all fields of medical science. |
Economic
development programs will get a boost through TFN, encouraging
university/industry collaborations and making community rings more
viable with last-mile connections. Rural areas will be connected
to larger cities via TFN, allowing new technologies to be
developed throughout Ohio. |
