What to Have Ready When You Contact Us
Before you contact the Help Desk, please have the following information ready:
- Your CollegeID
- Contact information (first and
last name, email, phone)
- Is your problem happening on a home computer or at the
College?
- If at the College, what is the PC name listed on the front of the PC (include
the room number)?
- If at the College, have you rebooted your PC?
- If at home, what browser are you using? (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL)
- If at home, what operating system are you using? (Windows 2000, Windows XP,
Macintosh)
- What is the exact error are you receiving or problem you are having?
- Have you scanned your computer for
spyware or malware?
- Is your virus protection up to date?
If you are emailing the Help Desk,
please include the answers to the above in the body of your email.

Spyware and other Malware may prevent your computer programs from functioning
correctly. Please follow the following links to download software that will
detect and disable spyware on your PC.
