About the new
Student ID Number
We are very pleased to announce that the new Banner Student System allows
the College to eliminate the use of your Social Security Number (SSN) as
your official Stark State ID. Your Student ID Number will now be a unique
number that has no relation to your SSN. You will use this number to
transact business at the College and this number will be used on College
reports, correspondence and for internal College processing. We will retain
your SSN in the system because we need to use it when we report student data
to state and federal agencies.
Your Student ID is printed on
your ID card. The format of the ID is an S followed by 8 digits. Your
initial PIN is your two-digit birth month, two-digit birthday and two digit
birth year (mmddyy). For example if you were born on May 15, 1960 your
initial PIN would be 051560. The first time you log in you will be required
to change your PIN and you will be prompted to answer some questions in
order to retrieve your PIN if you forget it. |
