Education is like a marathon – a kind of competition that requires motivation, dedication, planning and perseverance, Michael Gruich, DC, said in his commencement address to Stark State College’s fall 2012 graduates. An anatomy and physiology instructor and SSC’s 2012 Distinguished Teacher, he lauded and encouraged “all who cross the finish line.”
During the Jan. 6 ceremonies at the Canton Civic Center the College awarded nearly 400 degrees in business and entrepreneurial studies; education and human services; engineering, industrial and emerging technologies; health sciences; information technology; liberal arts; mathematics; and sciences.
