Spartan Media Award winners honored

The 7th annual Spartan Award winners recently were named by the information security and digital media department. Students from digital photography, commercial music, graphic arts, digital video and 3D graphics and animation submitted work for presentation to judges along with peers, family and friends.

The 2012 winners were

• Screen Layout | Scott Watkins
• Photography | Kimberly Barros
• 3D Motion Graphics | Jayson Shenk

Judges at the event were Kristie Bryant Fitzgerald, art director at Mulberry Marketing Group; Jim Andracki, owner of Midwest Photo Exchange; Kevin Rapp, art director at StoneKapProductions; Brett Marriner, Communication Exhibits, Inc.; Wes McCraw, owner of Creekside Audio Recording Studio; Andrew Rudd, professor at Malone University; Lenoard Brown, documentary producer and director.
