(North Canton, OH – July 9, 2012) – Due to heavy area demand, Stark State College will offer another session of its new, intensive two-week course bundle to train students to become welders for the oil and gas industry. A 3G welding certificate exam prep course also will be offered.
Concurrent courses – Principles of Welding and Welding Lab – will be held July 30 – Aug. 10 from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the RG Drage Career Center welding lab, 6805 Richville Drive SW., Massillon. Each three-credit course includes hands-on instruction and core skills in a variety of welding disciplines. Tuition is $882, plus lab fees,textbooks and supplies.
The 3G welding certification exam prep course is offered Aug. 6-9 from 8 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. at Timken High School, 521 W. Tuscarawas St., Canton. The cost is $294, plus lab fee, textbook and supplies.
Financial aid/scholarships may be available for eligible students.
