Freewriting
Freewriting is a method that can help you overcome writer’s block. It is the act of writing for a set amount of time determined by you, the writer, without stopping to think, correct grammar, or revise ideas.
There are two types of freewriting:
Open Freewriting
This type of freewriting has no beginning point. Your goal is to just start writing without any type of prompt or question to get started. This is also a great way to come up with a topic for your writing.
Focused Freewriting
This type of freewriting is centered on a prompt, issue, or question that you have concerning your topic. It is alright if your mind drifts away from your original point. Just keep writing.
