People All New Students Should Know

He is the senior advocate for you and your needs at the College.

for financial assistance. The goal of the financial aid staff is to provide financial support through federal and state programs to students who otherwise could not afford to attend college.

events for student organization use. It provides you opportunities to pursue similar interests with other students.

You can
also request an official or unofficial copy of your transcript through the registration office. Students approaching graduation process their graduation applications in this office.

The Disability Support Services Office assists students with disabilities by providing academic
support services; admissions procedures; financial aid information; and academic and career counseling.

The office of Career Services is instrumental in facilitating mutually beneficial relationships between employers, students, and
alumni.

The Multicultural Student Affair’s Office is a resource and support center for
students from underrepresented groups. This office provides services designed to assist students in matriculation and persistence throughout their entire college experience from application to graduation.

		Michele Vogt President, Student Government Medical Laboratory Technology Major Email: studentgovernment@starkstate.edu The Student Government provides full student representation on all matters pertaining to the student and stimulates and assists in the integration and coordination of all student organizations. We promote college activities and coordinate these activities with College policy. Student Government also
represents the views and opinions of all students to the college administration.

This office provides short-term educational counseling services, crisis intervention and
referral, special topic focus groups and much more. The College Student Success program (TRIO) is located in this area.

		John Herring Coordinator, Tutoring, Testing and Learning Development Division of Teaching and Learning Office Number: C105 Phone: 330-494-6170, Ext. 4265 Email: jherring@starkstate.edu The Tutoring and Learning Center is a learning site providing people and technology to support you as you work toward your academic
success. Services include one-to-one and group tutoring, teacher-provided resources, course-related software and internet access to ANGEL, email and other online resources and research.

classroom. Help includes workshops, study skill assessments, individualized Student Success Plans, and more. If you think you may qualify, please contact the TRIO office at Ext. 4172.
