Stark State College to become regional Toyota education center


(North Canton, OH – March 26, 2013) – After a rigorous three-day assessment by Toyota Motor Sales, Stark State College’s comprehensive and Toyota Technician Training & Education Network (T-TEN) programs recently met reaccreditation standards of the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation.

Bottle Caps Artwork(North Canton, OH – March 25, 2013) – More than 30 pieces of art made from 10,000 bottle caps – the number of plastic bottles used in the U.S. every seven seconds – is in the spotlight during Stark State’s Earth Month exhibit through April.


Stark State President receives 2013 ATHENA Leadership Award


Dr. Para M. Jones(North Canton, OH – March 22, 2013) Dr. Para M. Jones, president of Stark State College, has received the prestigious 2013 Greater Stark County ATHENA Leadership Award honoring her for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women and men in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.


Stark State College’s occupational therapy assistant program receives reaccreditation


(North Canton, OH – March 14, 2013) – The occupational therapy assistant program at Stark State College has received a five-year reaccreditation from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Stark State’s occupational therapy assistant program was examined and assessed by independent evaluators from ACOTE, a process that included a site visit to the College.
