Judge Dixie Park, the first woman elected judge of the probate division of the Stark County Court of Common Pleas, will share her journey on Monday, March 3 at 10 a.m. in Room M101.
Judge Park, an Alliance resident, graduated from Mount de Chantal Academy, received a bachelor’s degree in integrated life sciences from Kent State University, and earned a juris doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law.

The Chevrolet Silverado, Malibu hybrid and Camaro convertible; Cadillac CTS-V and SXR; and Buick Enclave and Regal are being used in classes to help train skilled technicians critical for the automotive industry.

Bob and Mickie Yurick’s retirement plans suffered some setbacks, but they didn’t let the reversals derail their dreams.
Now, at ages 60 and 58, respectively, they’re both enrolled in Stark State’s nursing program. After 38 years out of school, “we just decided to go for it,” Mickie said.

Candidates must have an associate degree from Stark State and are selected based on their professional and personal achievements and service to the community.
