North Canton, OH – April 17, 2014) – The Canton Artists League’s spring show, “Artistic Expressions,” will run from April 21 through May 23 in the Stark State College gallery on the second floor of the Student Center.

Stark State College to host David Oliver, popular police chief, social commentator

(North Canton, OH – April 17, 2014) – Brimfield Police Chief David Oliver will address the impact of social media on our personal and professional lives during his free presentation at 5:30 p.m. April 24 in Stark State College’s Business and Entrepreneurial Center. 

Recently described by the Huffington Post as “insanely popular” and “hilarious,” Chief Oliver has gained national fame for his blunt and engaging Facebook posts, inspired by his more than 20 years in law enforcement.

Stark State College open house set for April 27

(North Canton, OH – April 10, 2014) – Stark State College’s open house on Sunday, April 27 will spotlight several new programs – gaming management, sports management, petroleum technology instrumentation and electronics, and applied sociology – along with the College’s other 230-plus associate degrees, options, one-year certificates and career enhancement certificates.

The open house is set for noon – 3 p.m. in the Student Center at 6200 Frank Ave. NW in Jackson Township.
