Stark State awarded $1.5 million for new “one-stop” Student Center

(North Canton, OH – Aug. 29, 2014) – A $1.5 million grant from the State of Ohio and the Ohio Board of Regents (OBR) will pave the way for a new “one-stop” Student Center at Stark State College, pending approval Sept. 22 by the Ohio Controlling Board.

Stark State College hires new executive director for recruitment, admissions and marketing

JP Cooney(North Canton, OH – Aug. 29, 2014) – J.P. Cooney has been named executive director for recruitment, admissions and marketing at Stark State College.

Cooney will focus on strategic initiatives to recruit, admit and retain students as part of the College’s enrollment management plan for its main campus in Jackson Township and satellite centers in Alliance, Barberton, Carrollton and downtown Canton.

Stark State College Foundation names new members

(North Canton, OH –Aug. 18, 2014) – Seven new members recently were named to the board of directors of the Stark State College Foundation: Dan Dyer, Jerry Gilin, Janet Whitacre Kaboth, Randy Kreinbrink, Jennifer Meek Eells, Don Mullen and Gretchen Plewak.

Their terms run through June 30, 2017.
