(Canton, OH – April 30, 2015) – Stark State College has been awarded a College Ready grant from Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation for a partnership between the College and Akron Public Schools – the Stark Preparing Akron Students for Success (PASS) program.

(North Canton, OH – April 14, 2015) – Stark State College’s automotive department recently earned the distinction of being named a certified Toyota technician training center, the culmination of a two-year certification process.
(North Canton, OH –April 2, 2015) – A traveling art exhibit celebrating the positive influence diversity brings to our lives is showing in the Student Center at Stark State College through the end of April. The display was developed by Embracing Our Differences Ohio (EODO), a Wayne County-based organization whose mission is to demonstrate the concepts that diversity enriches our lives, that respect for differences in our thoughts and beliefs elevates the human experience and that active rejection of prejudice and hatred enhances our own freedoms.
(North Canton, OH – April 1, 2015) – “Soup’s On” at Stark State College where free soup and crackers will be part of lunch-and-learn opportunities focusing on a variety of religious traditions.
On April 14 at noon the focus will be on Buddhism, featuring guest speaker Janet Naher-Snowden. All are welcome at the free event at noon in room M101 of the College’s Business and Entrepreneurial Building at 6200 Frank Ave. NW in Jackson Township.
