Stark State Adult Diploma Program registration schedule changed

(North Canton, OH – July 27, 2015) – Stark State College’s Adult Diploma Program registration sessions set for Friday and Saturday have been cancelled, but registration open houses will be held Aug. 7, 8, 14 and 15 on main campus, 6200 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton in Room M100.

The program offers adults age 22 and older a way to earn a high school diploma and job training in a high-demand field – all for free. 

Stark State College receives funding for technology and training

(North Canton, OH – July 23, 2015) – Stark State College recently received state funding for training and resources to support the region’s growing manufacturing and energy industries, with monies for a mobile welding lab and 3-D printers.

Stark State College selected for ACE’s alternative credit consortium

Washington, DC – July 21, 2015 – Stark State College has been selected to join the second wave of the American Council on Education’s (ACE) alternative credit consortium.

Stark State and the other 14 institutions selected from across the country slated to become members of the consortium have demonstrated a strong commitment to access and attainment, particularly in the area of serving non-traditional students.

Stark State College offers express enrollment

(North Canton, OH – July 20, 2015) – Stark State College is making it easier for prospective students to get enrollment done in a day.

The new Express Enrollment Days set for Aug. 1, 8 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will allow students to talk to admissions counselors, get financial aid advice, take admission tests and enjoy refreshments (admission tests must be started by 11 a.m.).

Students need to bring high school (and, if applicable, college) transcripts along with their 2014 income tax return (and parents’ return if a dependent).
