Stark State College Akron will host a medical assisting information night at 360 Perkins St. on Dec. 5 from 5-7 p.m.

Participants can talk with faculty as well as tour the new medical lab spaces.

Local medical facilities are hiring medical assistants, who are cross trained to perform clinical and administrative responsibilities as they work alongside physicians. Stark State’s graduates are eligible to take the exam to become a certified medical assistant and also the exam to become a certified EKG technician.
