The State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) program consists of classroom, practice lab and clinical hours for a total of 75 required hours. Held at both Stark State Akron and main campus, day and evening classes are available.
The program, approved by the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Department of Higher Education, is taught by nurses who have successfully completed the Ohio Department of Health’s Train the Trainer program and have many years of experience in education.
Students who complete the program will be eligible to take the exam for certification as a state tested nurse aide. Graduates have many opportunities for employment in health care facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes, schools and home care, and may also consider advancing their education by applying for our practical nursing program.
Class size is limited to 8 students.
Funding may be available for those interested in STNA, simply fill out this application to see if you qualify.
