Panels from the internationally celebrated AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display at Stark State College Dec. 3-7.
The free display, in room M100 of the Business and Entrepreneurial Studies building at 6200 Frank Ave. N.W. in Jackson Township, will be open to the public Dec. 3, 4 and 6 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Dec. 5 from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. – noon.
Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, the internationally celebrated quilt is composed of more than 48,000 individual panels commemorating the lives of people lost to AIDS.
Arrangements to have the quilt panels at Stark State were made by the Office of Student Diversity and Student Life and the NAMES Project of Atlanta.
