Dr. Stephanie Sutton has been named vice president of enrollment management at Stark State College.
Sutton comes to Stark State with more than 30 years of higher education experience, including responsibility for enrollment management and advancing student services and success initiatives. She most recently served as the associate provost of enrollment management and student success at Lorain County Community College. She also has held positions as director of financial aid and dean of enrollment, financial and career services, worked as campus co-lead for student success initiatives and as project director for several student success projects, including Completion by Design.
She received an associate of applied business degree from Lorain County Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University (summa cum laude) and a master’s degree in public administration from Walden University. She graduated with distinction from Capella University in earning a doctorate in education with specialization in educational leadership and management.
Dr. Sutton has presented numerous times at the state and national level on financial aid, enrollment services, guided pathways, advising redesign and other student success initiatives. She also has served on nonprofit boards, as a pathways coach for the American Association of Community Colleges and on the Ohio Department of Higher Education Multiple Measures Assessment Committee. A past president of the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, she currently is president of the Ohio Chief Student Affairs Officers group.
