Stark State College offers free eight-week class

(North Canton, OH –Feb. 18, 2021) – Stark State College is offering free tuition for any one eight-week class that begins March 22.

Any new or current student is eligible.

Eight-week classes offer students a chance to cover the entire semester’s coursework in half the time, which may be especially important for those juggling family, work and school schedules. Students can, for instance, begin a certificate program that can be finished by the end of the year, such as professional digital reporter or editor, law enforcement academy, chemical dependency, CDL, green technology essentials, welding certification prep, rigging – oil and gas industry or DOT safety certificate.  

The registration deadline for the class is March 12.

The free tuition initiative is funded by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act – Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II.
