Stark State College offers new dental practice coordination degree

Dental practice coordination

(North Canton, OH – May 31, 2019) –  Graduates of a new dental practice coordination associate degree program at Stark State College will be trained as a valuable liaison between the patient and the dentist.

Triaging patient care on many levels, a dental practice coordinator works with the dentist to ensure the patient understands the treatment and why it’s needed, then coordinates the treatment plan to work for both the patient and the office. Coordinators also handle financial resources and/or insurance requirements and billing practices, as well as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones and other dental office responsibilities.

The program is now accepting students for the fall semester, which begins Aug. 26.
