Program overview
Become a Honda-certified technician and get paid while you train.
Get the skills to become a master service technician for Honda and Acura vehicles with Stark State’s professional automotive career training (PACT) program.
Our PACT instructors are advanced-level ASE master technicians as well as Honda and Acura master technicians. You’ll get hands-on training as you work on new and rare vehicles donated directly from Honda and Acura for PACT training.
Stark State also partners with local dealerships to get you into internships so you can earn while you learn about the product you love. You’ll graduate with certifications from Stark State College, plus you’ll have 60% of the training required to become an American Honda Motor Company master technician.
Program details
The Honda PACT certificate is designed exclusively for the student who is seeking a career as a service technician at a Honda/Acura dealership. The Honda PACT curriculum combines Stark State College NATEF accredited automotive classes and Honda-specific curriculum that is produced by American Honda Motor Company, Inc. The Honda-specific classes provide Honda’s core certification modules that are needed for advancement at a Honda/Acura dealership.
The Honda PACT classes are a blend of classroom theory and hands-on lab assignments. The Honda PACT classes are scheduled to run on selected Fridays throughout the semester, including the summer, and are a full day in length.
