Stark State College named among top U.S. colleges, universities for online learning 2023

Newsweek - America's Top Online Colleges(North Canton, OH – Dec. 15, 2022) – Stark State College has been named among America’s Best Online Learning Schools for 2023.

The College’s online learning program, eStarkState, was ranked 72nd in Newsweek’s ranking of 200 outstanding online college and university programs, a list that includes prestigious two- and four-year schools across the nation. Stark State is ranked fourth among the 10 Ohio colleges and universities.

“We’re proud to be recognized again by Newsweek as one of this country’s best online learning colleges,” said Dr. Lada Gibson-Shreve, the College’s provost and chief academic officer. “Our online students benefit from faculty members who are engaged and experienced, academic and technical support services, high-quality curriculum and an eStarkState team that provides excellent support for our online environment.”

Newsweek and global data firm Statista worked together to find America’s Top Online Colleges 2023, based on their own research and a survey of about 9,000 online learners.

The institutions received five stars if their aggregate score value is above the median score of all awarded institutions or four stars if their score is below. Stark State College received five stars.

Stark State opens new Welding and Joining Center

Stark State College recently opened a new, state-of-the-art Welding and Joining Center to serve our community's need for highly trained welding professionals.
