Student work celebrated at Spartan Media Awards 2024

NORTH CANTON, Ohio, May 20, 2024 – Last week, more than 100 guests attended Stark State College’s Spartan Media Awards, an annual event that shines a spotlight on student excellence, creativity and digital artistry.

During the event, student work was recognized in a competition judged by professionals in their respective fields. Winning students received awards in several competencies, including graphic arts, video production, music production, digital photography and 3D motion. The 2024 winners include:

Digital photography

• Commercial photography: John Humphrey
• Black/White photography: Syndey Ianniello

Computer graphic arts

• Vector designs and illustrations: Kaitlyn Mease
• Type design and layouts: Angella Hamrick
• Digital photo composites: Eliza Knop
• Traditional art: Grace Sherry

3D motion graphics

• 3D modeling: Corinne Slesnick
• 2D/3D animation: Kaitlyn Mease

Digital video media

• Music video: Griffin Levan
• Commercial: Joshua Metzger
• Short narrative: Jess Gullion

Music production and engineering:
