NORTH CANTON, Ohio, May 20, 2025 – Stark State College announced today it will begin enrolling Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students, beginning this fall semester, 2025.
Stark State’s program is designed for working registered nurses (RNs). It offers online coursework with a hands-on practicum at Stark State’s affordable tuition – the lowest tuition of any college or university in the region. The BSN builds on Stark State’s excellent, highly regarded associate degree in nursing/RN program.
“Our new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program addresses the critical need for nurses,” said Para M. Jones, Ph.D., president of Stark State College. “It benefits working nurses who want to complete the BSN while working, and it benefits hospitals and health care employers who need more bachelor-degree nurses. It also makes bachelor’s-degree education more affordable and accessible to working professionals.”
“Stark State’s RN to BSN Pathway program builds on our long history of excellence in nursing education,” said Lada Gibson-Shreve, Ph.D., provost and chief academic officer at Stark State. “Hands-on practicum experiences are tailored to real, workforce-based learning that enable students to explore specialty nursing practice, advanced nursing roles and alternative practice settings.”
“We’re thrilled to offer nurses in our community a high-quality, affordable opportunity to advance their career,” said Jones.
