- Submit an application to Stark State College
- Complete the RN to BSN program application
- Submit all required documents (see info packet) by July 31, 2026 for fall 2026 consideration

How will I know if I am accepted?
Applicants will be notified after the application review process is complete following the July 31st deadline.
Are all RN-BSN courses online?
Yes, all courses are online except for practicum experiences, which are arranged with SSC-affiliated healthcare facilities.
Do I need your RN license to enroll in this program?
Yes, you must have an active, unencumbered Ohio or Compact Multi-state RN license.
Are there state residency requirements?
Yes, you must be a permanent resident of Ohio. Practicum experiences will occur at SSC-affiliated healthcare facilities.
Can I complete the degree at my own pace?
No. Students will enroll in specific online classes each semester. Classes are offered asynchronous (no required meeting time) to fit your schedule, with assignments and coursework due on a regular basis.
Accreditation
Stark State College’s RN to BSN program is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. As of February 9, 2026, the program has achieved formal candidacy status with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), with a comprehensive site visit anticipated for Spring 2027.
Following the site visit, ACEN will conduct its final review for full accreditation. Upon approval, ACEN accreditation will be granted retroactively to February 9, 2026, the date candidacy status was conferred.
